About
Dr. Katz is a Board-Certified Orthopaedic Surgeon at Florida Advanced Spine and Orthopedics, specializing in shoulder, hip, and knee replacement surgery. He is widely recognized for his expertise in Total Hip Replacement, Total Knee Replacement, and Reverse Total Shoulder Replacement, as well as Minimally Invasive Joint Replacement techniques. Dr. Katz routinely performs Shoulder Arthroscopy, Rotator Cuff Repair, Knee Arthroscopy, and Meniscus Surgery, helping patients recover from joint damage and regain mobility. His clinical focus includes both primary and revision joint replacement surgeries for the hip, knee, and shoulder.
In addition to joint replacement procedures, Dr. Katz provides comprehensive care in Sports Medicine, Arthroscopic Surgery, Carpal Tunnel Treatment, and Fracture Management.
Dr. Katz completed his undergraduate education at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, and earned his medical degree from Rush Medical College in Chicago. He went on to complete a General Surgery Internship at St. Luke's Medical Center and a Residency in Orthopaedic Surgery at The George Washington University Medical Center, where he advanced his expertise in complex joint reconstruction and orthopedic trauma.
He is an active member of several professional organizations, including the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, Florida Orthopaedic Society, Florida Medical Association, Eastern Orthopaedic Association, and the Pasco Medical Society. Dr. Katz also contributes to national health policy through his involvement with the U.S. Senate Committee on Physicians for Health Care Reform, and holds affiliations with the Southern Medical Association, University of Michigan Alumni Association, and Rush Medical Alumni Association.
